You no longer need Java edition to play.
Java's still better though.
bbe843 No.80[Top]
>>78No wizardry. Just a third party server plugin that translates data back and forth between java/bedrock for bedrock clients. On paper it sounds absurd but the games are similar enough on the surface that 'it just works'. Although bedrock has slightly different movement physics if the server has really aggressive anti-cheat stuff enabled bedrock players will constantly be setting it off.
>>79I know of no such Minecraft.
bbe843 No.82[Top]
Okay so I looked it up. The only Minecraft game on steam is Minecraft: Dungeons which is some generic hack and slash spin-off game designed to milk the parents of autistic children for as much money as possible.

Probably just get drunk and build pyramid or something

make a EROTIC HENTAI DUNGEON out of mossy cobblestone and make it 8 x 8 x 8

>>84That's how you play Minecraft. You start simple and then when you want more complexity you can make it as complex as you want.
>>89That enables a lot of complexity.
Tree farms, flying machines, tunneling machines, automatic bridge building machines…

Just the base game.
Java gives you that shit for free, if you hunt it down.

>>94Yep, Java edition is the one you want.
People make free skins, texture packs, mods, and more.
No need for 'microtransactions'.

>>120So mostly in favor of keeping the normal behavior. I'll work on making a bedrock friendly way to the ole factory I suppose. I think for Kady I might set up a command block teleport to get there since I imagine trying to navigate ice bridges on mobile is a complete nightmare. As it is I just finished the span to the ice field and I just need to make a tower up and down from the bridge and that'll make mining ice a lot easier which means making bedrock friendly ice roads will be easier too.
Sadly minimalist ice roads that are both bedrock and java friendly look a little weird.
(since in java they work because they give boats low friction, and in bedrock they work because they give boats high propulsion) So any part of the bottom of the boat on Java that's not on ice needs to be on air. Whereas on bedrock as long as all of the blocks in the direction of travel are ice you will get max speed.
So to make it both Java and Bedrock friendly you can't have the guiderails placed on top of any blocks. So it's just a long floating span of glass pains.
a4fbfe No.123[Top]
>>122Since you're opped you can just
/gamemode creative
to give yourself some command blocks and then
/gamemode survival
when you want to get back to survival mode.

>>122>>123Although when all is said and done we can easily have a limitless supply of emeralds via watermelon trading (since I get zombie cure discount on all my farmers 1 melon = 1 emerald) and we can train the various smiths to sell enchanted diamond gear
a4fbfe No.125[Top]
>>124Oh and also toolsmiths pretty reliably end up getting a 4 iron ingot = 1 emerald trade early on. So iron farms can generate emeralds pretty fast too.
There's also apparently an infinite loop you can set up via trading for glass from librarians and crafting it into glass panes to sell to cartographers.
