The issue is actually your phone. Because instead of just specifying the appropriate output dimensions when taking a photo in landscape it instead takes it in the portrait dimensions and then affixes a meta tag to the photo telling the end-viewer (if they are viewing it on a browser that supports that meta tag) which way to re-orient the photo. Which takes๐Ÿ‘ up ๐Ÿ‘ more ๐Ÿ‘ time ๐Ÿ‘ and ๐Ÿ‘ processing๐Ÿ‘ power๐Ÿ‘ in ๐Ÿ‘ every ๐Ÿ‘ single ๐Ÿ‘ step ๐Ÿ‘ of ๐Ÿ‘ the ๐Ÿ‘ process ๐Ÿ‘ which ๐Ÿ‘ is ๐Ÿ‘ why ๐Ÿ‘ most๐Ÿ‘ phones ๐Ÿ‘ don't ๐Ÿ‘ do ๐Ÿ‘ it.

And of course the website is set to strip the meta data from all incoming files to protect people from accidentally doxing themselves, thereby returning the photo to its native orientation.

I saw a commit when combing through all of the ponychan commits whose description sounds like it would be to fix this, however the fix was implemented back during the PHP 5 version of tinyboard and might not be as easy to just copy and paste into our files. But I don't consider it high priority.

Happens to me too. Alas, it's a phone thing. It'll hit on other sites as well.

I think Ponychan might've made a work around… But I don't recall, and obviously I don't know how they did it.

The fix doesn't apply retroactively.
